Find your way around Nexus

Understand the dashboard, active case, case workspace, and main navigation.

Start with the active case

Dashboard brings the case drawer, investigation conversation, and case workspace together. Select a case in the drawer to load its conversation and associated records. The case header identifies the current case and may show its external case number, opening date, officer, classification, and Custody on indicator.

On desktop, the conversation and case workspace sit alongside each other. Use the resize handles to adjust the available space. The Entity graph area sits below the case tools and expands when selected. The drawer can be collapsed with Collapse drawer to make more room.

On mobile, open the case list with Open case files menu. The case view uses Chat and Findings tabs; the latter contains the case tools, including a Graph tab when available. Scroll the case-tool tab strip horizontally if all tabs do not fit.

Use the case tools

A tier badge or disabled control indicates an access requirement; selecting a different case does not change your subscription. Custody also requires case-level activation. Before saving a result from another screen, check the destination case or graph in its save dialog.

  • Findings holds results that you explicitly save. Expand a finding to inspect details and its source.
  • Tasks tracks investigative work, priorities, due dates, and completion.
  • Notes provides encrypted investigation notes and attachments after you set up or enter your note passphrase.
  • Custody displays the case’s audit entries when Chain of Custody is enabled.
  • Export PDF opens report options when included in your plan.
Example
You can open a supplier-review case on Dashboard, inspect its graph in Entity correlation, and return to the same case to record a task. Keep the case title visible as you switch between work areas.
