Find records and narrow your view
Use the case dashboard filters and the searches inside Findings and Notes.
Filter the case drawer
The dashboard’s summary tiles double as filters. Select a tile to limit the cases shown in the drawer. The active filter appears in the drawer and has a Clear filter control.
A missing deadline does not put a case into the due or overdue filters. Open cases is a count of the case list; it does not imply a separate open/closed status control. Entering case-selection mode clears a tile filter, so review the full list before selecting cases for deletion.
| Tile | Cases shown |
|---|---|
| Open cases | All saved cases available in your case list. |
| Due in 7 days | Cases with an upcoming deadline within the next seven days, excluding overdue cases. |
| Overdue | Cases whose stored deadline has passed. |
| High priority | Cases marked with a high-priority value, including High and Critical. |
Search within a case’s findings
The type-pill counts describe the full saved collection, so a pill count can be larger than the number currently visible after a text search. Finding search does not search every field inside Raw Data or the case conversation.
- Open a case and select Findings.
- Type in Search findings…. Matching ignores capitalization and checks the finding’s displayed label, source tool, and finding type.
- Select one or more type pills to narrow the results further. The search text and type selection apply together.
- Select All to remove type restrictions. Clear the search text separately when you want to see every finding.
To find saved domain records, select the relevant type pill and search a known domain fragment. If nothing appears, select All and clear the text before checking whether the record was saved to a different case.
Search notes and choose the right scope
Open Notes and unlock your notes if prompted. Search notes… matches the decrypted note title and content within the current case. Clear the text to return to the full note list.
These controls search their own case areas. There is no single workspace-wide search across every case, conversation, source, and attachment in this workflow. To investigate a new external subject, enter a request in chat or use a tool instead of the findings search field.
Primary search location changes the geographical context of investigation requests. It does not filter existing findings or notes. Check both the active case and the search field’s scope when a result seems to be missing.
