Save and organize findings

Keep selected results in a case, inspect their details, and copy useful records between cases.

Build a case’s findings collection

Findings is the case’s collection of saved result records. A chat response and a saved finding are separate things. Use the available save action on a result, or Add to findings on a Nexus evidence page, when you want that record in the collection.

Open the intended case before working with tools, and check the destination offered by a save dialog. An evidence page’s Add to findings action saves to the case named by that evidence link. Results that can be saved depend on the tool and the data it returned.

  1. Open the case workspace and select Findings.
  2. Locate the result’s type group, then expand a finding card to inspect its fields.
  3. Use a source URL in the fields when available, or expand Raw Data for the saved record’s structured details.
  4. Use Copy for the displayed value, a field’s copy action for a specific field, or Copy All Details for a formatted summary including source and saved date.

Add context and reuse a finding

  • Star and Unstar mark a finding for attention. They do not change the underlying evidence.
  • Edit Notes adds a note to the finding card. This field is separate from the encrypted Notes workspace.
  • Copy to Case opens Copy to Case File. Select another existing case to create a copy; the original remains in the current case.
  • Search findings… and the type pills narrow the list. Expand a card again when you need all its details.
Example
Save a domain result to a supplier-review case, add a short finding note identifying the question it helps answer, then use Copy to Case if the same record is relevant to a second review. Check the source date before reusing it.

Remove findings carefully

An individual finding has a Delete action. For multiple records, use their checkboxes and Delete Selected, then review the permanent-deletion confirmation. Type groups also provide group-level actions. Deletion is not a way to hide results temporarily; use the search and type filters for that.

If Copy to Case shows No other case files available, create the destination case first. If the findings list is empty after filtering, remove the search text and select All before concluding that records are missing. Copying or starring a record does not establish that its contents are correct; preserve the source context in your analysis.
