DNS posture
Inspect current public DNS records and infrastructure relationships.
When to use it
Use this to examine a domain’s current public DNS records and the infrastructure relationships they expose. Enter a domain name rather than a page URL or an email address, so the investigation stays focused on the intended DNS subject.
Before you start
Available on Pro and Agency. Fill every required field. Example values below illustrate the form; replace them with your intended subject.
| Field | Required | What to enter |
|---|---|---|
| Domain | Required | The domain name, such as example.com. |
Run the Skill
- In Skill library, find DNS posture and select Use template.
- Fill in the template fields using your subject’s details, then check the Preview.
- Select Insert into chat to load the prepared request into the investigation composer.
- Check the intended case and send the unchanged request to run this Skill. To change its inputs, return to the template and insert it again.
Domain: example.com
Read the results
Read each relevant record type and its relationship to the domain, paying attention to collection time and conflicting values. A mail or hosting relationship can help you choose a more focused next investigation. DNS can change and shared services can support many unrelated customers, so preserve the timestamp and avoid turning an infrastructure association into an ownership claim.
