What is Nexus?

Nexus is an agentic OSINT platform — an AI-powered investigation workspace that helps investigators research people, organizations, digital identities and public activity. Choose one of 47 investigative Skills or describe your objective in your own words; Nexus discovers sources, links every finding to inspectable evidence, maps relationships in a case graph and keeps the investigator in control of every conclusion. Built by Next Sight in Slovenia (EU), Nexus supports lawful, documented investigations for private investigators, law enforcement, corporate security, due-diligence and compliance teams, and journalists.

  • 47 investigative Skills in 7 categories, from public-source research to sanctions screening and Web3 identity

  • Describe your objective in plain language or pick a Skill from the Skill Library

  • Every finding is linked to inspectable evidence and its original public source

  • The investigator reviews, directs and decides — Nexus never declares identity, ownership or wrongdoing

How it works

How an Investigation Runs in Nexus

Six steps from a defined objective to a source-backed assessment. Nexus discovers and preserves the evidence; you review it, direct the investigation and decide what it supports.

  1. Open a case the way your team works. Chain of custody is available on Pro and Agency.

    1. Case officer, organization and client reference
    2. Priority and classification
    3. Chain of custody (Pro and Agency)
  2. Pick one of 47 investigative Skills or describe the objective in your own words.

    1. Pick a Skill for a defined question
    2. Or describe the objective in plain language
  3. You decide what enters the case.

    1. Select the sources worth keeping
    2. Add them to the relationship graph
    3. Save them to the case
  4. Every cited finding opens an evidence record: the source, its type, the date on record and a link to the original public page.

    1. A unique ID for every evidence record
    2. Source name, type and reference
    3. A link to the original public page
  5. Map what connects, from evidence. A shared attribute is a lead to test, not proof. Relationship graphs are on the Agency plan.

    1. Entity and connection counts
    2. Entities added from evidence records
    3. A relationship to test, not proof
  6. The bottom line first, established facts next, and every statement linked to evidence you can open. It also says when the evidence isn't enough.

    1. The bottom line comes first
    2. Every statement links to numbered evidence
    3. Established facts are kept apart from assessment

The outcome

Evidence-backed understanding your team can stand behind — every finding traceable to an inspectable source, every conclusion yours, and a case record that is defensible for court, clients and oversight.

Your investigation workspace

One Workspace From Question to Evidence-Backed Answer

Conversational research, 47 investigative Skills, source-linked evidence, relationship graphs and reporting, all organized around the case.

  • Conversational investigations

Describe your question in your own words and develop the investigation through follow-up requests. Nexus interprets the objective, plans the investigation and returns source-linked findings you can question, refine and extend inside the case conversation. It is one of three ways to start: a conversation, a Skill from the Skill Library, or a direct lookup.

  • Investigative Skill Library

Start with a focused workflow tailored to a specific research objective. The Skill Library holds 47 investigative Skills in 7 categories — research and analysis, identity and public presence, business and risk, media and public activity, internet infrastructure and exposure, Web3, and relationship analysis. Each Skill states what it answers, what you receive and what it cannot establish.

  • Case-centered organization

Keep investigation conversations, findings, notes and relationship graphs organized around a case. Every Skill run, follow-up question and evidence record lands in the case it belongs to, so a subject’s history, open questions and supporting material stay together from the first query to the final report. Return to a case later and pick up where the evidence left off.

  • Evidence details

Open a cited finding to examine its source, available context and supporting material. Every finding Nexus reports carries a short evidence label; open it to see where the information came from, its provenance and what was preserved, then follow the link to the original public source or add the evidence to a case graph.

  • Agency Exclusive

    Visual relationship graphs

Add evidence to a selected graph and explore connections between people, organizations and digital identifiers. Build the graph from findings and evidence records rather than assumptions, so every node and edge traces back to something you can inspect. Similarity alone is never treated as proof of association; the graph documents what the evidence supports and what remains open.

  • Agency Exclusive

    Investigation notes

Preserve your analysis and observations alongside the case, with encrypted notes where available. Record working hypotheses, interview observations and reasoning next to the evidence they rely on. On the Agency plan, notes are end-to-end encrypted with zero-knowledge key handling and support encrypted file attachments — only you can read them, not even platform operators.

  • Briefs and reports

Review concise assessments or export selected case material into a structured PDF report. A BLUF situation brief puts the bottom line first, followed by evidence, assessment and limitations. Court-ready PDF reports on Pro and Agency plans follow ISO/IEC 27037-aligned evidence handling, with a chain-of-custody record and SHA-256 hash chains for integrity verification.

SKILL LIBRARY

47 Investigative Skills, 7 Categories, One Case

Each Skill is a repeatable investigative workflow with a defined question, a defined result and stated limits. Pick one, or describe your objective in your own words — the findings land in the same case file, linked to inspectable evidence.

Pro includes 43 of the 47 Skills and Agency includes all 47. Every Skill page states what the Skill answers, what you receive and what it cannot establish.

Evidence before conclusions

Evidence Before Conclusions

Nexus supports investigation and assessment—not automatic declarations of identity, ownership or wrongdoing. Findings depend on source availability, and an unsuccessful search does not establish that information or activity is absent.

  • Supported findings

Statements backed by retrieved evidence you can open, with the source and its context preserved.

  • Possible matches

Candidates that resemble the subject — a shared name, username or image — but have not been corroborated. Similarity alone is not proof of association.

  • Contradictions

Places where sources disagree, retained side by side rather than silently resolved, so you can weigh them yourself.

  • Information gaps

Questions the available evidence could not answer. A gap records what was not found; it does not establish that the information is absent.

What Nexus is and how agentic OSINT works

What is Nexus?

Nexus is an agentic OSINT platform — an AI-powered investigation workspace built by Next Sight for investigators who research people, organizations, digital identities and public activity. Choose one of 47 investigative Skills or describe your objective in your own words; Nexus discovers sources, links every finding to inspectable evidence, maps relationships in a case graph and keeps the investigator in control of every conclusion. Next Sight d.o.o. is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in the European Union.

Is Nexus by Next Sight related to other tools called Nexus?

No. Nexus by Next Sight is an agentic OSINT platform built and operated by Next Sight d.o.o. in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and it lives at www.nexus-osint.ai. It is not affiliated with other products, companies or open-source projects that use the name Nexus, including other OSINT tools with similar names. If you are unsure which product you are reading about, check for the Next Sight name and the nexus-osint.ai domain.

What is agentic OSINT?

Agentic OSINT is open-source intelligence in which an AI agent plans and carries out multi-step investigation workflows — source discovery, evidence retrieval, relationship analysis and reporting — against a defined objective, while every finding stays linked to its original source and a human investigator reviews, directs and decides. Agentic OSINT differs from tool-based OSINT, which runs one lookup at a time, and from AI summaries, which give answers without inspectable evidence. Nexus is built around this model.

How is Nexus different from point OSINT tools or an AI chatbot?

A point OSINT tool answers one lookup at a time and leaves the investigator to connect the results by hand. An AI chatbot produces a fluent answer with no evidence you can inspect. Nexus takes a third approach: an agent plans and runs the investigation workflow across many public sources, and every finding it returns is tied to a source you can open. The investigator reviews the evidence, directs follow-up questions and decides what the case concludes.

Who uses Nexus?

Nexus is used by private investigators, law enforcement analysts, corporate security teams, due diligence and compliance professionals, fraud investigators, investigative journalists, threat intelligence analysts, brand-protection teams and sales or competitive intelligence researchers. Any professional who must research people, companies, domains, media or digital identities from public sources — and document how each conclusion was reached — can work in Nexus. Dedicated solution pages describe how each group applies the Skills to its own casework.

How do I start an investigation in Nexus?

Nexus offers three ways to start an investigation. Pick a Skill from the Skill Library when you know exactly which question you need answered. Describe the objective in plain language in the case conversation and let Nexus plan the work. Or run a direct lookup on a single identifier such as a domain, email address or IP address. Every path keeps its findings, evidence and notes organized inside one case, so you can move between them as the investigation develops.

Skills & workflow

5

Choosing Skills and starting investigations

What is an investigative Skill?

An investigative Skill is a focused, repeatable investigation workflow in Nexus that answers one defined research question — for example Public Profile Discovery, UK Company Registry or News and Adverse-Media Timeline. Each Skill states what it examines, what the investigator receives and what it cannot establish. Nexus offers 47 Skills in 7 categories: research and analysis; identity and public presence; business, financial and risk research; media, publications and public activity; internet infrastructure and exposure; Web3 and cryptocurrency; and relationship analysis.

Do I need to pick a Skill or can I just describe what I need?

You can do either. Picking a Skill from the Skill Library gives you a defined workflow with clear inputs and a predictable result. Describing your objective in your own words lets Nexus interpret the request, identify the subjects and prerequisites and propose an investigation plan built from the same capabilities. Many investigators start with a plain-language question and then run specific Skills for the details. Either way the investigator stays in control of the plan, and every finding is linked to evidence.

Which Skills does the Pro plan include?

Pro includes 43 of the 47 investigative Skills, across research and analysis, identity, business and risk, media, infrastructure and Web3, including the three core Skills: Public-Source Research, BLUF Situation Brief and Public Profile Discovery. Together they cover the most common investigation workflows, from researching a subject to discovering profiles, screening sanctions records and mapping infrastructure. Agency includes all 47, adding Cross-Entity Correlation, Breach Pattern Analysis, IP Abuse History and IP Threat Signals.

What is the difference between Pro and Agency?

Pro includes 43 of the 47 investigative Skills — identity and contact discovery, business, registry, sanctions and risk research, media and publication analysis, infrastructure and breach exposure research and Web3 intelligence — plus chain of custody, PDF investigation reports and 150 credits a month. Agency includes all 47; the four Agency-only Skills are Cross-Entity Correlation, Breach Pattern Analysis, IP Abuse History and IP Threat Signals. Agency also adds visual relationship graphs, end-to-end encrypted investigation notes, priority support and 300 credits a month.

Can Nexus find social media accounts linked to a username or name?

Nexus discovers public profiles potentially associated with a person or username across 200+ social and community platforms, starting with the Public Profile Discovery Skill on every plan and extending through Extended Social Presence and Public Username Discovery on Pro and Agency. Nexus separates supported associations from possible matches, because a reused username or a similar display name is not proof that two accounts belong to the same person. Private, deleted and access-controlled accounts are outside a public-source search.

Evidence & reporting

5

Evidence records, chain of custody and reports

How does Nexus show evidence for a finding?

Every finding Nexus reports carries a citation that opens an evidence record. The evidence record shows where the information came from, the public source or retained material behind it, when it was retrieved and the context it appeared in. From there you can open the original source, add the entity to the case graph or ask a follow-up question. Nexus labels each result as a supported finding, a possible match, a contradiction or an information gap, so the strength of the evidence is visible before you rely on it.

Can Nexus prove someone’s identity?

Nexus does not prove identity, ownership, control or wrongdoing, and no OSINT platform should claim to. A matching username, profile photo, phone number or wallet address is a possible match — a lead that needs corroboration. A verified association is a relationship that inspectable evidence directly supports, such as a profile that links to a confirmed website. Nexus keeps the two clearly separated in its findings and leaves the final attribution to the investigator, who weighs the evidence against the standard the case requires.

What does it mean when Nexus finds nothing?

An unsuccessful search in Nexus does not establish that information or activity is absent. Findings depend on what public sources hold and what was accessible at the time; privacy services, redaction, deleted accounts and index coverage all leave gaps. Nexus records a no-result as an information gap rather than a negative finding, so a report never implies clearance or absence. The investigator can document the gap, try a different Skill or identifier, or return to the question later.

Does Nexus support chain of custody?

Nexus provides an ISO/IEC 27037-aligned chain of custody for investigations on the Pro and Agency plans. Once enabled on a case, every investigative action — findings, searches, notes, uploads and graph changes — is written to an append-only audit trail secured with SHA-256 hash chains and sequential entry numbering, so entries cannot be altered or silently removed. The trail can be reviewed inside the case, exported, and included as a forensic chapter in the PDF investigation report with hash verification tables.

Can I export a court-ready PDF investigation report?

Pro and Agency subscribers can export a structured PDF investigation report from any case. The report includes a cover page, case overview, entity analysis, evidence findings, task progress and appendices, and carries a SHA-256 integrity hash computed from the case data and printed on every page, so anyone can verify that the contents have not been altered. When chain of custody is enabled, the report also includes the full custody chapter. Nexus reports are designed for court submissions, regulatory filings and client deliverables.

Pricing & plans

3

Plans, credits and billing

What plans does Nexus offer, and what do they cost?

Nexus has two self-serve plans. Pro costs €59 a month with 150 credits a month and 43 of the 47 investigative Skills; Agency costs €89 a month with 300 credits a month and all 47 Skills. Yearly billing costs €630 or €960 a year, about 10% less than paying monthly, and yearly subscribers still receive their credits every month. Teams, a multi-seat plan for investigation teams, is coming soon. The Free and Solo plans closed to new accounts on 1 October 2026.

Are credits still used?

Nexus uses credits to meter investigation work. Pro includes 150 credits a month and Agency 300 credits a month, on monthly and yearly billing alike, and unused credits carry over without a cap. Running a Skill or a direct lookup draws from that balance, which is always visible in the workspace. Prepaid credit packs can be added at any time without changing plan, so an urgent investigation is never blocked.

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel my Nexus plan?

Nexus subscriptions can be upgraded at any time, and the higher plan’s Skills and credits are available immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You can cancel at any time with no penalty, and access continues until the paid period ends. If you run out of credits before your monthly refresh, prepaid credit packs can be added on any plan without changing your subscription. Plans and billing are managed from the account settings in the workspace.

Security & compliance

2

Data protection and encryption

How does Nexus handle GDPR, and where is my data stored?

Nexus is built and operated by Next Sight d.o.o., a company based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Investigation data is hosted in the European Union, encrypted in transit and at rest, and isolated per account so that only you can open your cases. Next Sight staff do not read your case files, and your data is never sold or used for marketing. You can export or delete your data at any time; the privacy policy describes processing in detail.

What are end-to-end encrypted investigation notes?

End-to-end encrypted investigation notes are an Agency feature for keeping sensitive analysis inside a case without Nexus being able to read it. Notes and their file attachments are encrypted in your browser with a key derived from a passphrase that only you know; Next Sight never holds the key or the plaintext. Encrypted notes support rich text and tables, can be linked to the case graph and appear in PDF reports only while your session is unlocked. This zero-knowledge design suits investigations with the strictest confidentiality requirements.

Legal & ethical use

2

Lawful OSINT and acceptable use

What can Nexus not be used for?

Nexus may not be used for stalking, harassment, doxxing, discrimination, unauthorized access or any purpose that breaks applicable law or the Nexus terms of service. Nexus does not access private accounts, guess email addresses, verify live bank accounts or monitor people continuously; the Competitive Intelligence Snapshot Skill, for example, is a point-in-time comparison, not ongoing surveillance. Investigators remain responsible for having a lawful basis for each investigation and for how findings are used. Accounts that breach the terms can be suspended.
